Renewable Energy and Chemical Technologies Lab
Empowering the Future with Renewable Energy and Chemical Technologies
At the Renewable Energy And Chemical Technologies (REACT) Lab, we are dedicated to pioneering sustainable and environmentally-benign solutions that can meet the increasing demand for energy and consumer goods. Led by Prof. Fabian Rosner, our team conducts innovative research in renewable energy and chemical technologies, including direct air capture and carbon dioxide utilization. We use computational methods and process models to identify environmental and economic opportunities for green technologies. We apply these modeling techniques to a wide range of research questions to support our experimental R&D efforts, technology development as well as to guide policy decisions. Join us on this exciting journey towards a cleaner and more sustainable future.
Interdisciplinary Research
The REACT Lab is home in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department which is part of UCLA's Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science. Our cutting-edge research in renewable energy, green chemistry and carbon management is highly interdisciplinary and bridges the gap between material science, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering and environmental engineering. We actively foster a highly interdisciplinary work environment by collaborating with other departments at UCLA and the Institute for Carbon Management.
